On Q Events' greatest strength is our creativity. It's also our passion. We will work with you on creative concepts for your event and design a theme and entertainment package to suit your specific requirements or you can choose from one of our themed options.

Disco Inferno

Mirror Balls, glitter curtains, lots of chrome and plenty of wide lapels and even wider flairs. This is how you treat your guests to a dance down memory lane and a party they will never forget. On Q Events will not only transform any venue into the ultimate disco nightclub, but we will furnish it with an entertainment line-up the likes of which has never been seen. ABBA, The Bee Gees and Freddy Mercury will be there. As well as Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Madonna and maybe even Elton John. And what if we threw in Austin Powers and David Lee Roth and brought Elvis back to life? These are just some of the options you can choose from to get your guests on the dance floor and keep them there - All Night Long!

Golden Past

Queenstown's Gold Mining Past is brought back to life with this fully themed event. Character Actors will mingle with your guests. Can Can girls will do a lot more than that. An old time Miners Band will entertain and guests will also be treated to “A Taste of Rush”. This is a 20 minute show featuring highlights of the musical “Rush!” which tells the story of the gold mining history of the region. Visit our Photo Gallery for images of this event.

Highland Fling

Plenty of tartan and the odd castle ruin, candelabras and codes of arms set the scene for one of New Zealand and the world’s most unique entertainment experiences. A full pipe band, a rock backing band and world class vocalists combine to bring to life traditional Scottish tunes along with some of the world’s most loved rock and pop hits. Throw in a traditional Haggis Ceremony, some hilarious Scottish jokes and a few colourful Scottish characters and you’ve got an event sure to put the wind up everyone’s kilt!.

Fire and Ice

A great Black Tie option. Let us transport your guests to a magical world of fire and ice. Through the use of creative lighting, smoke, silks and a collection of props and sets we create a visual feast of colour. Ice bars, ice cradles and ice bowls can be produced to give that extra wow factor and any range of our Entertainment options can fit the bill. See our Photo Gallery for images

Classic Cocktail

If all out style is what you are looking for, then make sure your guests pack their finest party frocks and tuxedos, because this theme is all about glamour. Picture yourself in the ballroom at Las Vegas's MGM Grand Hotel. Red carpet is rolled out to meet your guests. The champagne is flowing and there is even the opportunity to have a wee flutter with some funny money.

The Ratpack are there to croon your guests through pre-dinner cocktails then your guests are wowed by a full “Vegas-style” floor show over dinner, then its onto the dance floor as the big band kicks things well into gear.

Slice of Heaven

From a full Maori welcome to the greatest New Zealand songs of all time, this is Kiwiana at its best. Jandles, Punga Trees, Watties Tomato Sauce, the All Blacks and Pavlova set the scene. A good old Kiwi BBQ and spit roast, spuds, mussels and lamingtons feed the troops.
